Hoover Girls Lacrosse wins first game!

On Wednesday, March 22nd, Hoover Girls Lacrosse traveled to Mira Mesa HS and beat the Marauders 9-5! The girls were very excited to get their first win ever. Keep it up ladies!!!

Lacrosse begins at Hoover!

Monday, March 6, 2017 marked the first ever lacrosse games to be played at Hoover High School!  The teams opened the season by having a doubleheader and taking on Monte Vista HS.  Hoover was the pilot school for SDUSD for 2016-17 to add lacrosse as a sport.  Both girls and boys teams have full schedules

Lacrosse is coming Tuesday……lines are painted on the stadium field!

In final preparation for Spring Sports Try Outs on Tuesday, lacrosse lines were painted on the field at Breitbard Stadium.  This will be the first season ever that Boys and Girls Lacrosse will be offered as sports at hoover.  While Boys and Girls Lacrosse have different rules, both will share field parameters painted in blue,

With help from IMIN, Hoover girls go see the Aztec Women’s Lacrosse home opener!

Coach Granfield and 9 girls went to SDSU to the Aztec Lacrosse Field on Saturday, February 4th.  They went to see the SDSU Women’s Lacrosse home opener vs Denver.  Girls were able to see their first lacrosse game in action.  Try outs begin for the inaugural Hoover Girls Lacrosse season on Tuesday, February 21st.

Hoover receives US Lacrosse First Stick Grant

Hoover High School is starting both Girls & Boys Varsity lacrosse teams this Spring.  Selected as this year’s pilot to add a new team (another City School selected yearly), Hoover received funds from SDUSD to help initiate this program.  In addition, the Athletic Department applied for the First Stick Grant from US Lacrosse to provide

There will be an informational meeting during lunch today (12:30) in Room 1103. Both coaches will be there, where we will discuss upcoming conditioning, athletic clearance, etc. Meeting will be brief! Conditioning will begin this Thursday, 12/8 on the Softball Field at 3pm!
