4.0 GPA Student Athlete Celebration

Today mark’s the new eligibility period for athletics earned in progress report #1.  Hoover has 19 student athletes who earned a 4.0 during this first grading period of the year.  To congratulate these students, all were called in this morning to have donuts for a job well done.  Kudos to the following 19 student athletes,

CIF Division V Championship Ring Ceremony

Today at lunch, the 2016 CIF Division V Championship Baseball Team received their rings.  A special ceremony was held at lunch to recognize these athletes and present them with their rings.  Graduates returned, and coaches presented the rings to each player as students watched and cheered.  

Night of Champions recognizes Hoover CIF Baseball Champions

The High School Sports Association (HSSA) recognized all San Diego winning CIF teams on Monday, October 3rd with an awards night.  Hoover was recognized for our Championship Baseball team in Spring, 2016.  Coaches Sean Tucker and Gary Crusberg were there to accept the plaque, along with Athletic Director, Kelly Granfield and Vice Principal of Athletics,

Hoover Freshmen Football win two-in-a-row!

The Cardinals took on the Kearny Komets yesterday at 5pm and came out on top winning 30-13.  These guys are on a roll…..next week Fallbrook travels here to Hoover for a 4pm kick-off on Thursday, September 29th.  Let’s go for three-in-a-row!

ASB puts on lunchtime Pep Rally for Fall Sports!

Freshmen Football win their first game!

Hoover took on Morse High School and came out on top for their first win of the season, 12-0!  Davonte Ward scored both touchdowns for Hoover. Next week is a BYE and the next freshmen game is Thursday, September 29th vs Fallbrook.
