Senior Night for Girls Volleyball

Six Girls Volleyball players were recognized after beating Morse for Senior Night. The gym was packed with students and staff, watching the team win 3-0. Tons of posters were up and everyone stayed to watch at the end, including Morse. Hoover Seniors included Morse Seniors by recognizing them and giving them candy leis.  Coach Tom

Varsity Girls Basketball attends an SDSU Women’s practice.

Coach Stahley took six Varsity Girls Basketball players to an SDSU practice today at Viejas Arena. Girls got to watch, learn and go in the locker room. Looking forward to the season around the corner, and college next year for some, made this a great experience.

Boys & Girls Cross Country take on Point Loma at Morley Field

Freshmen and Varsity Girls Volleyball beat Kearny

Cross Country travels for Santa Clarita Invitational

Hoover Cross Country traveled North this weekend to compete in the Santa Clarita Valley Cross Country Invitational.  The boys finished 7th out of 21 teams.  Senior Samy Belay finished 7th overall, and junior Moise Maombi was 17th overall out of 265 athletes.  Great job runners! Moise Maombi, #2 runner, came in 17th out of 265

4.0 GPA Student Athlete Celebration

Today mark’s the new eligibility period for athletics earned in progress report #1.  Hoover has 19 student athletes who earned a 4.0 during this first grading period of the year.  To congratulate these students, all were called in this morning to have donuts for a job well done.  Kudos to the following 19 student athletes,

CIF Division V Championship Ring Ceremony

Today at lunch, the 2016 CIF Division V Championship Baseball Team received their rings.  A special ceremony was held at lunch to recognize these athletes and present them with their rings.  Graduates returned, and coaches presented the rings to each player as students watched and cheered.
